Chapter 42
Theo called to the kids to finish up with Fabio and chuckled when they groaned and put the carrots away in the tack room fridge. Kat said her goodbyes to the beautiful gelding who whickered softly back as if he knew he had just met his new owner.
With her heart bursting with happiness, Kat leaned down and kissed Joey on his head before they all left the barn and followed Theo outside. He led them to a carport behind the barn where a golf cart looking vehicle with rugged tires and seating for six was parked.
“What in the world is this?” Kat laughed and looked at their odd-looking mode of transportation.
“Hey, you got a Fabio, I got a custom-made Gator,” he huffed back at her. “Take your seats, kids!”
They piled into the Gator and Theo drove them carefully across the rolling fields. They had to stop a couple of times to open and close gates. They drove over a little bridge that crossed over a bubbly stre
