Chapter 41

Theo headed back to Minnesota to tie up any loose ends and Kat prepared for her own move back home to Virginia. Saying goodbye to their new friends and neighbors wasn’t easy, but Georgia was not that far away, and they could come back and visit. Joey was excited about moving home and being closer to his father and his old friends. 

Tamara and Ana were planning a welcome home party at their house, which probably meant that Kat would have to come and cook the actual food so Tamara wouldn’t burn it all to a crisp. Not that she minded. Not one bit. When you had friends that were willing to do anything for you, being the one that had to create the celebratory meals in life seemed like a small price to pay. 

Katrina’s tenant had already moved out, and she had hired a company to come in and do a deep clean of her house. She looked forward to her lazy weekend mornings, enjoying a cup of steaming hot coffee on her bench by the little pond.
