Chapter 48. Indra’s Confession

Leo hugged Alana tightly, trying to lull his trembling wife back to sleep in his embrace. Leo was sure Alana must have had a very bad dream, causing her face to pale and her body to tremble intensely when she suddenly screamed in her sleep.

Leo didn't ask too many questions because he didn't want to make Alana feel more uncomfortable. So, all Leo could do right now was to provide comfort to Alana while gently stroking her back.

Leo kissed the top of Alana's head once, hoping that his wife could go back to sleep peacefully. Leo's efforts paid off when he felt Alana's steady breath, causing Leo to slightly lower his face and see Alana's pale face, now looking calm.

Leo then shifted his gaze to the clock on the nightstand, which showed it was two in the early morning, prompting Leo to force his eyes shut again because the sunrise was still a long way off.
