Chapter 101. Ready for Trouble

Elena POV

The idea of going out hits the house like a spark in dry wood — suddenly the brothers are moving, alive again, energy humming under their skin after days of enforced stillness.

They disappear into their respective rooms to get ready, arguing about outfits, masks, and which club is safest, while I stay curled on the couch for a moment, watching them through the hallway with an amused smile.

Nico shouts from the hallway, “Elena! You’re not wearing anything boring. I’m warning you now!”

Riccardo mutters, “She can wear whatever she wants……”

“No,” Nico interrupts. “She can wear something sinfully pretty so we can stare at her all night.”

Vincenzo adds from his bedroom, “As long as she’s beside us, she can wear a garbage bag.”

“But preferably something tiny,” Nico says.

They are acting like little children going for an outing for the very first time in their lives.

I laugh and push off the couch, heading toward my room
