Chapter 68. Mixed Feelings

Elena POV

I can’t concentrate in school anymore after what happened. I keep thinking of how messy things would have been if Alessandro got beaten up by my stepbrothers.

“Elena!!!” I hear someone chorus my name and I jerk up immediately.

“Snap back to reality” Gianna screams, flicking a finger to my face.

“Welcome back to earth, Elena,” Valentina says sarcastically. “You completely zoned out on us. What the hell were you thinking about??”

“I …ummmm…” I stammer, taking a look at my environment.

We are now in the classroom, and strangely, I can’t remember coming back to the class.

But I can’t start asking Gianna and Valentina when and how we got back to the class…. they’ll definitely look at me like I lost a few nuts in the head.

“What were we talking about??” I ask.

I am not sure if we were actually talking about something before I zoned out, but since it’s Gianna and Valentina, we must be definitely talking about something.
