Chapter 14
I finally walked out of the bathroom. I was done crying; he didn't deserve my tears. I put on a new set of undies before working back into the room. I noticed someone there; it wasn't Damien, and he turned to me. Diego.
I scrambled for the bedsheet, covering my nakedness.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, wiping the remains of the tears from my eyes.
"I was sent to bring you some food, as you didn't join us."
"You would have knocked," I said to him, eyeing him from head to toe.
"I apologize Luna; it takes a while to get accustomed to the fact that the Alpha now has a mate," he said, and I snorted at that. More of a 'fuck-thing' than a mate. "Are you... alright?" he asked, his gaze on me. I wish the earth could just swallow me up.
"Yes," I said after clearing my throat.
"You don't look alright."
"Why do you care? I know you don't like the fact that I am here, so why not fuck off?" I snapped.
