(Lena's POV)

I cry until there are no more tears left.

My promise hung over my head. I had promised myself that I was going to make Isis pay. I had to stop pondering why Aurora would betray me for the second time. Even if I had this nagging feeling in me that this had to do with Isis, I refused to act on it as I always do.

Whatever came her way, she deserved it, and I was the fool. I had tried playing hero, not even caring that I put myself in trouble all to help her. I chuckled. It was a dark, humorless sound, and then there was a knock on the door.

I didn't want to see anyone now. I wanted to be alone.

"Go away," I mumbled.

"It's me, Luna," Diego spoke up. "I am here on orders," he responded.

"Then go tell him I don't want you anywhere near me," I said back to him, my voice a bit harsher than I anticipated. There was a short pause.
