(Nate’s POV)

One week later...

I lean against the wall, watching her. Aurora was admiring the view from the window. Finally, she was able to walk—well, limp. When I brought her back from the shitty cell, she was taken straight to the healers. The Alpha had passed a warning that he didn’t want her anywhere close to Lena ever again. It was a surprise that the Luna had helped us, and as much as Aurora wanted to keep apologizing over and over to the Luna, she couldn’t; Lena had done enough.

I stared at Aurora, she was such a beautiful girl how had I been so blind?. Finally noticing my presence. She turned to me, a small smile formed on her face. I have not seen her smile in a while, and her smile is infectious. I chuckled. Walking towards her, I placed a kiss on her short hair.

“Are you ready to take your bath?" I asked her, unbuttoning my long-sleeved shirt and drawing the fabric upwards to avoid it getting wet as I bathed her.
