Chapter 47. Separation

With everything that was going on in his life at the time, Patrick felt as if the world was collapsing around him. 

'I'm hoping she'll take it nicely!' 

He didn't want to fight his girlfriend for whatever reason, but certain things just couldn't be ignored. He took a deep breath before unlocking his flat door and walking in. When he walked in, he was greeted by an unexpected scene. 

"Ohh, you've arrived!" exclaimed a delighted voice. 

'This isn't how the script is meant to be!' Patrick exclaimed as he stood there stunned. 

"Don't just sit there! Go take a shower. The food will be ready in ten minutes!" Avita greeted him cheerfully. 

Finally, he went to the bedroom, washed up, and returned shortly to join her. Avita said nothing but dutifully served him as she always does. However, something felt horribly wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
