Chapter 54. Moving Out

Avita glanced blankly at Patrick, who appeared to be quite serious about what he was doing. 

She genuinely felt like a joke. Although she had anticipated this, she had not anticipated it happening so quickly. 

And she could see by the look on his face that he was quite excited about it. When she thinks of Miguel, she sees this brightness in his eyes that reminds her of herself. 

'He can't be cheating on me, can he?' she thought to herself as she watched him. 

'There is no way he can do that,' she thought, shaking her head in denial, ‘Let's not be paranoid.' 

Patrick had no idea what Avita was contemplating. Happiness and the excitement of moving out currently consumed his thoughts. Avita thought everything seemed weird. Patrick had only asked her to return the money she had stolen from him the day before. 

This was more akin to cutting her out and abandoning her in a ditch. This, on the other hand, was excellent. She didn't
