Chapter 7. Long Weekend

The long weekend was extra special because it coincided with two holidays. The first holiday occurred on Friday, while the second occurred on Sunday. These were President's Day and National Defense Day, respectively. 

As a result, this holiday, along with Easter, is one of everyone's favorites every year. Every employee is also entitled to paid time off. Avita and Patrick have already made plans for her to leave with Lucilla while Patrick returns to his hometown.

Avita was not in the mood to accompany Patrick this time. Her last visit to those folks was unpleasant, and she didn't want to ruin her good mood because of other people. 

It was natural for them to look down on her since she was an orphan, but that didn't mean she deserved their hatred or anything else they could throw at her. 

Patrick was the first to depart, and Avita bid him farewell. She didn't have to be concerned about him because he was driving back.
