Chapter 57. Nervous
“What happened?!” I simply moved away from him to gather myself.
I fixed my hair that was ruined by the wind and cleared my throat.
“I think we’re running out of gas...” he said calmly. He tried to start the engine again but he failed.
“What? Are you kidding me?!” My voice pitched higher.
I dumped my bag on the floor and sat frustratedly. I slowly felt my knees trembled in nervousness.
He walked toward the back of the boat while I palmed my face. After a few, I heard his steps walking closer.
“The motor overheated,” he looked completely impassive as he pulled down his sunglasses.
I blew out a deep breath. I hardly bit my lips before standing up.
“This is all your fault, we shouldn’t have used this. Or... or you should have checked the gas and the engine first before we go to that fucking Island!” I angrily said.
Gabriel crossed his arms over his bare chest before a grin crept onto his face.
