Before Dom could end Carlisle in a blink or Carlisle made a stupid move, Iris jumped between them, making Dom widen his eyes.

“You will defend him?” Dom’s tone was cold, colder than when she had heard him talk to Y in the dungeon. The voice lacked all emotion as Dom regained full control in front of them and the transition left Iris speechless.
