“Look at my granddaughter and your grandson,” beamed Caroline to Beatrice Patterson as she nodded toward Gwen and Steve. “Can anyone have any doubt how they feel about each other? Everyone’s watching them and they don’t even realize it. That’s how love’s supposed to be. I’m so proud of Gwen and so happy for her. Your grandson brings out the best in her.”
“Permit me to state that Gwen is the catalyst that allows and encourages Steve to do the amazing things he does,” countered Beatrice Patterson. “He’s devoted to that girl.
