It looked very familiar and when she saw it coming nearer, she caught a glimpse of the driver and knew it was Melvin Baker.

His car came to a halt in front of her and he came out gracefully looking all handsome and groomed up in his dark business suit. Darcy smiled at him as she had known him all her life and had always admired him but today there seems to be something lacking in him. And she knew that there was nothing except that she was making a comparison between him and Mr. Davis, who had just left. Darcy shook her head in annoyance, what was she thinking she had just met the guy and was comparing him with Melvin. She must be mad.

Melvin Baker was their neighbor and his sister, Shelly was her classmate so he often visited them. Their families were not exactly friends but neither were they, enemies.

“Hey, Darcy! Done with your work?” He looked around curiously and then asked. “Have the new buyers left?”

Darcy was surprised as to how he came to know about
