"She probably thinks she could have been stronger than me,” Darcy murmured to herself.

“I am moving to New York Darcy,” Melvin said stubbornly. 'Why not come with me?” 

“Melvin, I am sorry but you have to understand, I can’t marry you.”

“But Shelly had joined the Fletcher and Harris industry to get Gale back from you; will you be able to stop her Darcy?” Melvin said sarcastically.

“It doesn’t matter what she does because Gale doesn’t like her,” Darcy said with confidence and got up hurriedly to leave before Melvin could argue with her dead on the spot.

Of course, she wouldn’t do anything like that for real as whatever feelings Shelly had for Gale didn’t matter for they were officially engaged and she had the upper hand as for her working for Fletcher and Harris industry it did not matter because the company had always meant so much to her and if Shelly was helping to build it again she was more than happy to accommodate her.
