Chapter 71

Not Riya, but Madam

Riya’s POV

Rachit didn't do himself any favors by raising his hand to me that day. How could he possibly doubt me? Isn't it true that I ruined my seven-year relationship for him? But I did not know when his possessiveness turned into suspicion. Just not now. By apologizing to him, I will not invite him to insult me again, as is usual. This is my final decision.

For the past several days, I've been so engrossed in my work that the storm in my personal life has subsided for the time being. Harsh sometimes calls to ask about my well-being. For personal reasons, I never contacted Rachit again after that day. Yes, we are both frequently confronted with official work, but we are never alone. Someone is definitely with us, especially Shilpi.

Rachit's reciprocal action is not a surprise to me at all. He had always been like this; it was just that I hadn't recognized him. In terms of my loneliness, I've moved out of my apartment and in with Shweta.
