Chapter 62. Larger Family (4)

"Pass me the seasoning, JunKoo," I say, feeling overwhelmed as I stir the sauce in the pan that I'll use for the meat already in the oven.

"Relax, I'm looking for it."

I look at him and see how he rummages through the numerous different spices we bought, reading each bottle until he lifts one with a victorious smile on his face.

"Here," he hands it to me.

I sprinkle it, tasting every second until the desired amount is right, turning off the stove and setting the sauce aside.

"How's dessert coming along?" I ask him as he wraps each little cake he insisted on making.

A typical recipe from my father-in-law.

"They're almost ready."

"Did you taste them to make sure you didn't put salt instead of sugar?"

I hold back a laugh as he gives me a bored stare, but shrug, watching him after a few minutes, still suspiciously tasting the batter.
