Chapter 16. Stars and Rainbow

"Want to make love today?" I ask. "When Jiwan goes to take his nap..."

JaeMin smiles, standing up and not giving me an answer.

I watch him go into the kitchen and get fruit to cut and put in a bowl. Every afternoon this is the kind of thing he does, and maybe it's his pregnant desires, as JaeMin hasn't had other strangers like he had with Jiwan.

It's always apples and watermelons. Always.

"My belly is rounder, isn't it?" he asks, returning. "With Jiwan, it was more pointed."

"Does that mean it's a girl?" I tease him.

"Are there two, then?" he asks. "Yours is quite round."

"It's definitely heavy. My back hurts..."
