Chapter 18. Happy Birthday (2)
Seeing JunKoo's anxiety rise each time he checks the time on his phone, I worry that it might stress him out along with the baby.
"Hey, he's arriving soon."
"You said that half an hour ago," he denies. Or rather, he scoffs. "I'll kill SiJoon."
"My kids still need their dad," SooJin says, playing with Jiwan in the middle of our living room. "But you can flick him, I'll allow it."
Once again, I see JunKoo calling SiJoon, but it's no longer necessary because at the same second, his car screeches to a halt in front of our house, and the deafening sound of Jujube barking makes me look at JunKoo, fuming.
"Shh," he tells the dog, walking to the door and opening it. "Is this the right time?"
