Laura packed my hospital bag with the brisk efficiency of someone determined to put Bellevue behind us as quickly as possible.
“Are we in a hurry?” I asked, carefully pulling my cardigan over my shoulders.
“You have a concussion, half the internet knows what hotel we're staying in, and Garrison Sterling has already managed to send you back to an emergency room once.” She zipped the side pocket of my bag. “Yes. I would very much like to get you home.”
“He didn't exactly push me into traffic.”
Laura gave me a pointed look. “That is an exceptionally generous interpretation of events.”
I almost smiled.
She gathered the discharge paperwork from the bedside table and handed it to me. “Keep these. Seattle General Hospital requested your old neurological records from the hospital that treated you after the crash, so there may be duplicates mixed in.”
“Seattle?”
“From your original accident.”
