Chapter 17. Her Aunt's Friend

With Diana's insistence, Melissa didn't have a choice but to introduce Adam's as the person who was hosting her.

 "Oh wow is that him?" Seeing the man leaning on a limousine, Diana asked with a frown.

"Yes, that's him. He works as a chauffeur." Seeing Diana raise her eyebrows, Melissa had to explain so she didn't think she was with a rich guy. Afraid of making her more suspicious.

"Oh I see, I thought your host was some old rich guy." Diana scorned a sly smile on her face as they walked over to Adams.

"He's my aunt's old friend, guess he's trying to impress me so I can put in a good word for him." She hated the lie but she had to.

 As they neared the car, Adams walked over to greet them. "Uncle Adams, thanks for coming to pick me up." 

 "It's no problem, I was dropping off a client not far from here. Who's your friend?" Adams questioned following her lead.
