Chapter 41. Deal or No Deal?

Dave reluctantly opened the door halfway and waged it with his body. “What are you doing here?” His eyes lit with rage. “Accepting to work with you doesn’t mean you will show up to my door anytime you want.”

Daryl chuckled. “I am not here for you but for my brother’s girl,” he said, pushing Dave away.

As Daryl walked in, fear gripped Nancy. She asked Matt to go back to his room. Her heart was racing really fast.

“Who is he?” Matt asked. He stood his ground out of curiosity to find out who Daryl really was.

“Hey Matt,” Daryl waved at him. “Remember me?” he grinned.

“From where?” Matt asked. He has never been more confused in his entire life than he is now. He had no idea who Daryl was, even though Daryl had met with him once.

“Oh, my bad,” Daryl said scornfully. “You can’t remember because I took your memories away.”

“Sis,” Matt glanced at Nancy. “What is he talking about?” He’s naive and lost with no idea of what Daryl was talking about.
