Chapter 44. Moon Curse
A daemon dagger for the ritual was handed to her as Logan and Charlie held hands as they watched in silence.
“Here comes our freedom,” Logan smirked. His cheeks flushed with excitement. He sniffs into the air. “Did you smell that?”
Charlie glanced with curiosity. She sniffs into the air, too. “I don’t smell anything,” she said with hesitation in her voice.
Logan glanced at her. “You should,” he said. “I smell freedom,” he smirked. Turning to face Charlie, he continued in a happy tone. “After tonight, they won’t be snapping off the bones every full moon. No pain of shape shifting, and we can shapeshift at will without feeling pain.”
Charlie smiled broadly at Logan’s words. “Now I can smell it,” Charlie said, sniffing into the air.
For centuries, the werewolves have lived in agonizing pain every full moon. Today marks the beginning of their freedom.
As soon as the old woman drew closer to the table to begin the ritual, the rest of the werewolf blood
