Chapter 27

Kaelynn's POV 

Another week of classes has passed, and nothing has changed in how our classmates treat us. 

If they don't speak to us, they'll play tricks on us, but thanks to the twins, we'll be able to remain here safely. 

Our identification laces are red, which means someone from higher-ups already owns us, which is why no one is trying to kill us. When Red asked why our identification laces differed from the other students, I told him that we were scholars.  

Actually, aside from Red and me, I no longer see any other mortals. During the first week of the school year, I saw some mortal students here, but after a few weeks, I observed that they had already started to vanish. 

Vampires are incredibly skilled at killing their victims, and no one will be able to determine the cause of death. 

"I'll just get some ice cream," red said, and I agreed. We both make our way to the canteen's freezer, and he takes a step back
