Chapter 24. Busted: Saving the Day

The firefighters arrived at the scene but there were not fast enough to save Scott on time. His body has been charred in flames. He was writhing in pain when they arrived and couldn’t raise a hand. They tried to keep him awake but he was already losing his breath. His breath is becoming faint every second.   

         As the ambulance was about to leave the scene to the hospital, Sasha rushed towards the tailgate of the ambulance and introduced herself as Scott’s girlfriend. “Get in, we're leaving now!” the ER guy opened the tailgate of the ambulance and lets her in.

“How did this happen?” Chase glanced at John. They are left alone at the hotel premise.

“I have no idea but we have to leave before the cops come around and start asking questions.”

“Don’t worry about that, we control the cops around here. We should finish the job and let Sasha see to the recovery of Scott.” Chase moved to his Lexus as John followed his cue.
