The fourth child and eldest son of Kronos, Hades has been vying for control of the worlds, including the world beyond and other realms, by claiming the lost book of Anubis. He is the Titans' king and the head of Mount Othrys, together with his sister-wife Rhea. His father Kronos had swallowed his three sisters, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera, before him, out of fear that one of his own offspring would usurp him, just as his own father had done with his own offspring.
