I was surprised to receive the text from an unknown number, but also intrigued by the possibility of getting some leads on Talisca’s operation.

The text message read: “I guess you need my help on Talisca’s operations come to Maple Street.”

I frowned, feeling a little uneasy about the whole situation, but also eager to pursue any possible leads on the cartel.

As I was about to leave the captain’s office, he reminded me of the places I was not allowed to visit with the anklet, but I assured him that I would not go anywhere I shouldn’t. I was determined to catch Talisca and bring him to justice.

As I left the office, I texted Ava to let her know what was happening and to tell her that I would be gone for a while. I didn’t want her to worry, but I also didn’t want her to be caught off guard.

I made my way to the address I had been given, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. I didn’t know who had sent me the message, but I was grateful for any help
