We may have looked like cowards, but I didn’t think twice about pulling Ice back from Kristoffer’s reach. I knew that Kristoffer was dangerous, knowing that he’s a few steps below before he reaches his brother’s rank.

"Exactly what’s the relationship between you and Master Kristoffer, Ice? He knew who you were, and it wouldn’t make any sense if you said that this was the first time that you met him," I said.

If I have to use force just to make him spill the truth between them, then I have no other choice.

"It’s a long story, Celestina. A few minutes wouldn’t be enough for me to tell you everything, but let me at least say this to you." Ice bit his lower lip and fixed his eye contact with mine. "It would be best for you not to stick around with him. You have no idea what he’s capable of. Once he sets his mind onto something, he would actually be able to create a whole catastrophe that no one would be able to survive," he added.
