Chapter 75. Taking New Orleans by Storm

"Maverick Montgomery! Tell these brutes you call guards to let me in!" Sophie yelled from the gates of the Nightfall pack house. She rattled the heavy iron bars with all of her strength but they didn't budge.

"Agh!" She cried out in frustration, slamming both palms against the smooth iron while the two guards watched her with zero expression. She narrowed her eyes at them.

"You both are enjoying this, right?" When they didn't respond, she rolled her eyes and resumed her banging.

"Hey! Maverick! I know your hearing is perfect! Come out. It's important, please." She tried once again. Minutes later when Maverick failed to show up, she turned around and was about to leave to think of a different way to alert the wolves about her vision, when Maverick called out her name.
