Chapter 13
Daphne’s POV
It’s my first day at the job, working full time. From Monday to Friday eight in the morning until five in the evening. I’m so glad I do not need to have a ride or have to owe anyone an extra explanation as to why I do not need to answer my calls all the time. Apparently my boss has made a webpage where I am shown as one of his five attorneys, which is really cool because I get to have more clients, but oh my sugar daddy is this all overwhelming.
I shut off my cell when I am working at the moment I punch in and when I punch out I turn it on. Not even at lunch like how I do with class. I do not want to lose my job because others have some stupid thing to say about others, the disco won’t go anywhere else, boys come and go.
The list can go longer if I start to point them out. My newest client is an elderly, who is fighting for custody because their son just murdered his baby’s mom and she refuses to give the child to the dad. Clearly, I am in her favor. A
