Alexander’s POV

Returning to the kingdom we are greeted with cheers and a sense of safety as I see everyone is accounted for, but I fear for the day they are less of my people. I look at Alice who has been the calmest and even if I already know she is timid, most of all she is not this quiet. Something must have happened while we were there that she is not telling me.

‘Alice, care to tell me why are you so quiet?’ I mindlink her to have our personal conversations.

‘I am alright just trying to learn how I can tell you and our parents something.’ Now I am alarmed after hearing this. I allowed her to think about how to do the call.

‘Well?’ I try to push her a little bit when she bites her lips.

“I found my mate.’ I stop to snap at her who is now looking sad.

She found her mate?! Not that I shouldn’t be that surprised, but she just turned eighteen. Avana is still fifteen, but who could it be? We were in the human realm this entire time, hold it.
