Chapter 17

Kate

I wake up with a smile on my face. I stayed over at James’s place last night while his mom worked a night shift, and my parents were out of town for an event. We did a lot of studying and not study-related stuff. The kind of stuff that puts a smile on my face now as I remember all of it. Memories of last night hit me again, and I feel a knot tighten in my stomach. Memories of his lip against mine, his skin against mine, his touch, and his breath against mine.

It’s been two weeks since we had that fight, and in some ways, I’m quite grateful we had that fight. It made us grow closer to each other, and the passion we share became stronger since then. We now spend more time with each other, expressing our love for each other each time we get a chance to in whatever ways we can. I guess part of the reason why we spend a lot of time with each other these days is that finals are starting in less than a week, and soon, we’ll all be going off to college, and I really don’t w
