“Lie still.”

It was Alec’s voice, unmistakably deep and silken.

The moment Rebecca had heard the door open, she’d begun her frantic struggling against her bonds. Those two words, said so authoritatively yet without menace, made her obey.

“What’s going on?” she breathed. “What’s going to happen to me?”

Part of her really didn’t want to know. An even bigger part wanted to demand to be released. Yet still, was that tiny piece within that was hungry to taste the unknown. First had come temptation, now she was truly ensnared, totally eclipsed by wondrous excitement.

The light sound of two pairs of footfalls advanced, and she heard a chuckle that sounded suspiciously like Tristan’s, making her realize he’d come in with Alec. Rebecca’s breath shifted to pants of fearful anticipation as she kept wondering what they both planned to do to her in this vulnerable state.
