Chapter 4
“What do you have to say for yourself, young lady?” Diane asked with feigned reproach as she faced Rebecca after work on Monday. Diane had shown up to take them to their favorite spot for after-work drinks, and once they were seated with their long island teas, Diane wasted no time in teasing.
Rebecca huffed. “You’re the one who set me up with two men!” was her accusing reply.
“Guilty as charged – but only for dinner. I didn’t count on you spending a whole weekend at their place. What gives?” asked Diane, eyes wide and full of interest, her grin impossibly wide.
“Just how did you know about that anyway?” Rebecca asked, quelling a groan as she sipped on her drink to stall for time.
“When I didn’t hear from you after the date, I rang the brothers the next morning. They calmly informed me that you were still asleep in bed and would probably be with them the rest of the weekend. When you still failed to call me up since then, I put two and two together and guess
