"I beg you, don't let other men touch you with desire." His hand cupped my cheek, then his thumb caressed my cheek.
"Don't worry, Laird. I don't want to be touched by any other man besides you. Even if I have to work with another man, I assure you that it's all just acting and meaningless to me," I said with a smile.
"As long as it brings goodness to you, I will fully support you," he said softly, kissing my lips.
"In that case, we should quickly finalize the contract. I can't wait to see my photo displayed prominently at Gene's office," I said with renewed enthusiasm.
"I am still considering changing some clauses in the contract. I want to protect you," he refused.
"How much longer until it's finished?" I asked.
"I have to rewrite the articles, then get Alan's approval, and negotiations might be quite challenging considering Alan's character, who likes to have things his way. So, about a week," he said.
