Chapter 20. Running Away

Author’s POV

“What happened here?!” Cross’ face wrenched ugly as he inspected the dungeon. Then, his eyes turned to Parviz, who was naked and being helped out by one of their warriors. “Explain yourself. What the hell are you doing here?”

Parviz took his arms from the warrior and spat out the blood from his mouth. “Why should I explain myself to someone below me?” he sneered. “Rather than question me, you should start following the woman who has just escaped with a rogue!”

“A rogue?” mused Cross. His gaze shifted away from Parviz and towards a tunnel. He frowned. He had no idea such a thing existed in their dungeon. “Come with me,” he ordered to the five warriors he had with him. He then returned his gaze to Parviz. “You might not need to explain to me, but I doubt the same goes when brother interrogates you later,” he scoffed as he entered the tunnel, the five warriors following close behind.
