“What happened?” I asked while still in a daze.

“You don’t remember? You suddenly lunged at her, and that’s when she headbutted your stomach.” Jacob placed my hand on his face. “You said you were hot, but your body was so fucking cold.”

“I see. I don’t remember jumping, but considering the circumstances at that time, the normal me wouldn’t jump.” I tried to reminisce about what happened, but all I could recall was my heartburn, headache, and blurry vision, and I was pretty sure I wasn't myself at that time. The conclusion that I had drawn was that I was clearly poisoned. “Her nails.”

Jacob nodded and told me that those two she-wolves were under interrogation. Dame Xianth is the one who’s questioning them at this very moment.

“Why don’t they question their master as well?
