Chapter 12

Nikki

A taken aback Chad came to settle on top of me, pulling my arms away so he could lift me from putting Rebecca through undeserved hell.

He finally succeeded in doing so, getting me to stand on my feet while she’d been screaming her ass off the whole time. “Calm down, Nikki!” He snapped in shock.

I wiped my mouth harshly and watched as she tried to stand to her feet. That caused me to act reflexively and charge toward her one more time.

“She’s a demon!” She yelled at the top of her lungs. Chad managed to get a hold of me one more time. He was smart enough to hold me in place.

“Rebecca, I think you should leave.” He cautioned her.

“Excuse me?” She gasped, taken aback by his suggestion. “I’m your fiancée! She should be the one to leave! How can you side with this mere secretary?”

I grunted loudly in Chad’s hands, trying my best to pull free from his hold, but he clearly wasn’t having any of it. He possessed a strong grip while she flinched
