Sam

After the heat ended and life returned to normal, Sam realized that there were only a couple more weeks of gender studies lectures before the end of the semester exams period. After that, he only had one more semester of university left, and then he’d be working a casual job and searching for an engineering position. He needed to turn his thoughts to employment and adult life and wouldn’t see Toby much more after that – he didn’t know if it was a good or bad thing. It might help him move on, but he didn't want to stop seeing Toby or being his heat partner.

On the last day of class, they went to drink with Amanda and James as it was the semester's end, and they wanted to celebrate. Mike and Jeremy joined them. Toby was excited to meet one of Sam’s friends, and he wondered what Jeremy would make of his other alpha friend, as sometimes alphas clashed with each other.
