A month. A freaking month had gone by since I had heard anything from anyone. Alyssa had long since stopped coming to see me and I never heard from Bethany.

My cellphone had never been returned to me. The police had stated it was evidence, cracked screen and all. So, my mother had gone out and bought me a new one.
