After everyone left, Kevin and Alyssa decided to give me some time to get a few things together to move in with them for the next month. I was grateful for the reprieve, however now that they were gone, the panic I was fighting earlier came back to haunt me.

If I had to give an honest count of how many times, I grabbed the phone to call them to tell them the deal was off, I would never be able to. I must have packed and unpacked my bag only to repack it two minutes later.

By the time night came, I thought I had gone insane and was racing around the house like a jacked-up Chihuahua. It didn’t help when I got this text message after the thousandth time of unpacking my bag.

KEVIN: Be there in ten minutes. Be ready, sub.
