Book 1: Chapter 55
“I haven’t had a vehicle since I moved back here, sir,” I said with a shrug.
“Why didn’t you say anything to Master Reed or I?” he asked exasperated.
I shrugged. “Why would I? I know the number of every taxi service. I know all the bus routes and I only live ten minutes away from work.”
He shook his head at me. “Let Reed know, please before I have to tell him myself.”
“Alright, but I don’t see what the big deal is,” I said slightly irritated.
I didn’t argue even though I wanted to really badly and ended up agreeing swiftly when he took a menacing step toward me.
I left quickly after that anxious to get home and away from bossy Dom’s. If I were to be honest with myself, it was so I could call Reed. Suddenly the limo ride seemed to take forever so instead of anxiously shifting in my seat every few seconds I decided to use the time wisely and sort through everything in my head trying to find some meaning in the jumbled emotions.
