She turned her head to him. “You will take me to another pack?”

“Yeah. If you agree with me, then.”

She was about to say yes. Then she had the epiphany that her parents would never give their consent for her to wander off without them.

“What happened?” He asked when he saw her upset face.

“Why? You don’t believe in me, do you?

It was his question that gave her pause. How ready and willing she was to answer yes. It turned out that she had genuine confidence in him within her heart.
