Chapter 46

Dr. Anthony has been looking after the old man for two days, but his health has not improved in the least. He has moved every piece of equipment that can be of assistance from his father’s hospital to his chamber, but they all show the same thing: he needs to figure out how to stabilize the old man.

He resolved to work relentlessly and not leave the old man’s side until he stabilized and began talking and laughing in the afternoon, but he noticed his grandson was not present from the moment he awoke.

“When was the last time Mahlon visited me?” he questioned his son.

He replied honestly, “2 days ago,” and went on with his work.

“Call Bruno, his constant companion, and tell him to bring him over; I know he won’t show up if you call him directly,” he said angrily. He knows his grandson well, and he sometimes acts like a spoilt little boy who can’t reason.

Dr. Anthony does not resist and calls Bruno on the elderly man’s phone. “Bring your boss to the villa,
