Chapter 47
The show reminds the old guy of his late wife, who was great at breaking up fights between him and his son, but now that she’s gone, there’s no one to help.
The argument continues until they notice that the old man is silent and does not intervene.
Matthew becomes concerned and decides to take his temperature, but it is normal, so he is relieved.
“Could you spare a few moments for us?” Looking at Matthew Anthony, the old man says. Matthew admits that he is hesitant to leave since it is tough for him to leave his father with his son.
He walked away, making sure to warn Mahlon, who had his hands in his pockets and appeared uninterested in what he was saying.
After Matthew had left, the old man stared at his grandson, who looked exactly like him, and pondered what had gone wrong; he wished Matthew had taken him because perhaps he would have grown up to be someone else, someone with a heart rather than a monster in the making.
