“I can’t believe Dad sent me to this government school because I told him I want to be a doctor like my grandfather,” Blake muses as he takes a seat next to his new acquaintance Frank from the nearby rural city.
He doesn’t understand why his father chose the school in the town over the one in the rural area because of the rumors that the school produces a 100% pass rate every year. After constantly telling him that he was going to be a doctor and that he would study medicine without him paying his tuition fee, Mahlon took him to a government institution.
He stands by the roadside with his friend after dropping out of school, waiting for the girl in the car to pass. He’s taken a shine to a girl who drives by the road every day in the back of her car and throws flowers at him whenever she sees him standing with his companion. Bruno looks at the youngster, puzzled as to why he has become such a bother; he has often cautioned him about his behavior.
