She felt her heart skip a beat as she watched Sergio call to one of the goons who stood by the door, which Derinem had just run through.

Two of them came, walking past Damon surrounding her; she swallowed again, feeling her body suddenly growing hot, as they each held her arm.

Sergio then walked to the dining table and picked up the spoons. She felt all the emotions at once, raw and eating into her. Swallowing hard again, she turned to Damon before they could pull her away.

"I have to see my son." 

Damon nodded, "Yes, you will, Maya," he caressed her cheek, "when the results come out, I want to know what the fuck just happened right now."
