Chris’s POV
Maybe I could have resisted staying a day in Red Moon, but I didn’t. Not when my mom offered me homemade meals.
Sasha’s cooking was good, but I’ve always tasted better.
And my father may not want anything to do with my mother, but she was still my mother. Not that I wanted him to know I visited her anyway.
My uncle returned to me with the findings I asked for. I stretched myself on the couch so he’d have nowhere to sit.
I only needed him reporting, then leaving—not striking a conversation. “So? Any solution for Jaden’s injury? I have to leave now.”
The fact I was comfortably stretched on a couch yet saying I wanted to leave was ironic. He raised his brows humorously and sighed.
“It specifically didn’t have a cure. If it comes in contact with blood, only a Lycan’s energy can dispense it,” he said.
A Lycan’s energy? Maybe that was why they are the only ones it doesn’t work on.
“So Jaden dies?” I frowned
