Chapter 51

The bell rang and our last class for the day was finally over. A lot of my classmates left but Nick and Uche weren't leaving yet, they stayed behind with some of their mutual friends gathered round both of their desks.

"You going home yet?" I heard Casey. "Or are you gonna be waiting for Nick?"

"Why?" I wanted to know why she was asking, that would determine my answer.

"I was thinking maybe we could... you know, go home together, I mean my house is just a little farther from yours..."
